Side Effect Support, is an online resource for cancer patients, family caregivers, and healthcare providers to reduce harmful oral side effects of treatments, improving quality of life while reducing pain and infection risks, and the long-term negative impact on physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing.
The site includes:
- Blogs - separate sections for patients and for healthcare providers with several pages of free information. There is a "Filter By" bar at the top to narrow down the subject matter.
- Resources - free printable patient brochures for adults and for children in English and Spanish plus links to outside resources
- Teledentistry services through a partnership with The TeleDentists where virtual care can be accessed 24-7, 365 within 10 minutes or less
- Shop - a collection of affordable over-the-counter oral care products that have been specifically chosen to help reduce certain risks while protecting long-term oral health
- Partner's Marketplace - (new and growing) access to expanded products and services through partner companies
SES also offers continuing education courses for healthcare providers and free educational presentations to cancer support groups.
